For Kaiser Permanente Patients
New Pharmacy Process for Kaiser Permanente Members
For Custom Compounded Medication Prescriptions.
Based on your physician’s prescription, a compounded medication is a drug that’s specifically developed for you. The medication is tailored to meet your individual needs. They’re usually prescribed when a medication, dose, or strength isn’t commercially available. Examples include creating a liquid for a patient who cannot swallow a pill or excluding non-essential ingredients due to an allergy.
As part of a continuing partnership, Kaiser Permanente is transitioning the dispensing of compounded medications for patients that have insurance coverage under Medimpact Pharmacy Benefit Manager to be filled directly by Valor Compounding Pharmacy and shipped to your home.
If you are a patient that has insurance coverage under all other benefit managers, please continue to contact your Kaiser Permanente pharmacy for compound medication prescription dispensing.
Your kaiser permanente pharmacy will transfer your prescription to Valor Compounding pharmacy
Effective January 1, 2024.
Time for a refill?
Once your prescription has been transferred to Valor, all of your future refill requests
should be made directly with Valor Compounding Pharmacy.
